Infinitas Mini Implant Courses
DB Orthodontics will be running Infinitas mini implant courses throughout the year. The aim is to equip orthodontists with the theoretical and practical knowledge for mini-implant anchorage in a wide variety of clinical scenarios.
Delegates are invited to attend either morning, afternoon or both sessions of this one day course, (priced accordingly)
Morning: Introductory session (3.5 CPD hours) £250.00 includes free patient education model
Aim: To equip orthodontists with the essential theoretical & practical knowledge to easily begin using mini-implant anchorage
Objectives:
· To critically appraise the literature evidence on mini-implant techniques.
· To explain the benefits and clinical usage of the Infinitas mini-implant system.
· To provide practical in vitro teaching on the use of the Infinitas system (for manual insertions).
Timetable:
Lecture 1 – An Overview of mini-implant principles and the Infinitas system
Practical 1 – Mini Implant typodont and bone insertions
Lecture 2 – Mini implant insertion and biomechanics
Afternoon: Advanced session (3.5 CPD hours) £250.00
Aim: To instruct orthodontists on the latest advanced mini-implant techniques (treatment planning and biomechanics), especially involving palatal insertion sites.
Objectives:
· To provide an update of the latest clinical research on new treatment modalities
· To provide a detailed appraisal of the treatment planning and biomechanics involved in palatal usage
· To discuss advanced mini-implant uses eg indirect anchorage, molar intrusion, molar distalisation and orthognathic applications
Timetable:
Lecture 3 – Molar intrusion (AOB) treatment
Practical 2 – Molar intrusion typodont
Lecture 4 – Molar distalisation techniques
Course Instruction By: Richard Cousley BSc, BDS, MSc, FDS, FDS(Orth) RCS.
Richard has been a consultant orthodontist in Peterborough since 2001 and has used a variety of both implant and mini-implant anchorage systems throughout this time. He has both lectured and published widely on orthodontic bone anchorage. The Infinitas System represents a synthesis of this theoretical and practical experience, such that bone anchorage should be a simple and routine option for all orthodontists and for many of your patients.
When booking both the morning and afternoon sessions you will receive a £120.00 voucher redeemable against the Infinitas product range.
Post-graduate rate also available, contact us for more information.
